Probability & Addition Task

Peter has been working hard on his math tasks, solving probability and addition problems. He answered all the questions and was very keen to share his answers with Room 4.

We are learning about Probability
(more or less likely) and (higher or less chance).

I am learning about Probabilities or Chance:

The chance that something is more or less likely, less or higher chance…

TASK: Choose the correct answer

How likely are you to grab…

Answer:

Top jar - Purple triangle?: Less likely, less chance because there are more red squares than purple triangles.

Second jar - Yellow heart?: Less likely, less chance because there are more green stars than yellow hearts.

Third jar - Red circle?: More likely and higher chance of red circles than purple squares.

Bottom - Purple triangles?: More likely, a higher chance of purple triangles than yellow stars.

Maths:

I am Learning to solve additional problems

Martha's narrative writing

 The Invisible Man.

My character is the invisible man.

The story took place at the school.

The problem was the two bullies who bullied the man.

They forced him to give a huge amount of money,

Otherwise, they will hurt him.

The principal saw the bullies, bullied the man.

The principal rang the police.

The bullies said sorry and took off.

The invisible man was safe and he thank the principal.

The invisible man was happy in the end.

Labelling our bodies on EE

Today in Cybersmart we practiced using the camera, the lasso, and the line tool.

We used these tools to make our very own labels for our bodies.

Here's the finished products from Dayne and Mya.

Today in Room 4 we became more confident using the Explain Everything App on our iPads.

  • We used the Text Box tool and practiced changing the font size.
  • We used the Clip Art tool and inserted images.
  • We used the Inspector Tool to duplicate our images.
  • We used the Inspector Tool to flip our images from left to right.
We used all these tools to make our very own story book about a zoo!
